Over the last few months, Martin has been beavering away in our workshop in Clapham, restoring the original 'Bergerac' Triumph Roadster.  We discovered the car on a trip to Jersey last year, and were disappointed to find that the 'old gal' was far from her original glory.  Upon contacting the owner, we were delighted to be given the opportunity to put her right.  This is the first car that featured in the iconic 1980's TV programme, and was the car that was driven by 'Bergerac' in the first 3 and half series.

The brief was to restore the car to a 'as filmed' condition and therefore this is not technically as it should be for the Triumph Roadster enthusiasts out there.  John Nettles, star of the original Bergerac series, was heard to descibe the car in less that glowing terms, he stated that 'It won't start, it won't stop and the steering is not good' - these aspects have, we are delighted to say, not concerns any longer and we were delighted to here that she was to be featured in the Jersey Battle of Flowers in August.  In her newly restored state, she will be a glory to behold!! For those who are interested in the nuts and bolts of the restoration, please do contact us and we would be delighted to send a 'shed load' of restoration pictures, or see us at Beaulieu this year - we are happy to talk about the logistics of the restoration!!
